First Week of Advent

The blessed season of Advent has arrived! The word “Advent” comes from the Latin word “adventus”, meaning “coming”. Advent is a time when we prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of Jesus Christ at Christmas. This first week of Advent signifies HOPE and we will light one purple candle on our Advent wreath. We are reminded to find time to reflect on how we can be the light for others and bring hope to our world and those around us. Have a wonderful first week of Advent and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!

We also honour those who continue to serve our country today. In creating a better tomorrow, we pray for peace in our homes, our communities, across the country and the world.
